Local news covers EVHA award

When one of our local news stations, KGUN 9 (who had done a story on The S.E.E.D. Home during construction) found out it was receiving the EVHA award they called and asked to do another story.  I was interviewed about a week ago by  reporter Stephani Ruiz.  This morning she did two live broadcasts outside of the house, incorporating the earlier interview.  If you’d like to see the story and video click  here.  I don’t know if this is a permalink, so I don’t know if it will always work.

Pictoral progress of The S.E.E.D. Home®

This is a pictoral journal of construction of The S.E.E.D. Home® from site prep to present.  The interior framing is in process and we’ll be adding more as we have the time.  We’ve come a long way.

The S.E.E.D. Home gets local news coverage

We’ve been so busy we are getting behind in keeping this blog updated.  We’re in the process of creating a collection of all photos of the construction from start to present for anyone interested.

In the meantime The Arizona Daily Star did a feature article (2 page spread) in their At Home section this past Sunday, which included a picture and a blurb on the front page of the section.  You can read the article on their website.

Jeff Beamish of KVOA, channel 4 came out to the house and did an interview that aired on the evening news last week.  You can see the video here.  Unfortunately it can’t be embedded as WordPress doesn’t support flash.

Linda Garret of KGUN 9 news also came out to the house and did an interview which you can see on their site or watch it below.

Green Times contributes to successful open house

The Tucson Green Times article generated quite a bit of interest in this weekend’s first public open house of The S.E.E.D. Home®.  Most of the visitors said they had learned of it through the Green Times coverage.  A big thank you to the Tucson Green Times.

If  you click the image of the front page and you can see an enlarged view of the header (will open in new window or tab), containing a picture of the rendering of the home, directing you to the article entitled Take a walk through a thermal envelope.  It’s in PDF format and you will have to scroll down to page 15.

The open house had a great turn out.   Below are  several video clips of some of the discussions and questions and answers.  Our visitors were intelligent, well informed, asked great thought provoking, questions and sparked some very interesting discussions.  All in all I would have to say it was a success. We are extremely happy about the excitement this project is generating in the community.
